SPORTS MASSAGE.

Sports Massage Therapy & Ultrasound Therapy

Sports Massage is a deeper massage and its effect on muscle and connective tissue goes way beyond a normal massage.  Most importantly it not only relieves pain and imbalance in the body it may well have a profound effect upon a persons mental and emotional state.

By using advanced soft tissue manipulation techniques sports massage can effectively treat problems that have become chronic.  It can also uncover injuries at the sub clinical level before they become problematic.

Tracey Coulson Sports Massage in Peterborough and Huntingdon

Sports massage loosens tired, stiff muscles; helps maintain flexibility; promotes blood flow to the muscle to remove lactic acid and waste build-up; and reduces cramping, and aid in breaking down scar tissue.

Massage Therapy helps to maintain healthy muscle, connective tissue, normal range of motion, high energy levels, pain free movement, mental calm, alertness and concentration.

The Goal

My goal  for sports massage is to maximize athletic performance.

And for those who do not actively take part in sport, we offer remedial massage and soft tissue release techniques. These work for treating the neck, shoulders, back and leg problems.

One of the complaints we often hear is that physiotherapists do not give ‘hands on treatment’ to their patients, and not able to allow time to listen to their concerns. Tracey is prepared to listen, advise and offer caring hands on treatments.

We have experience in treating those of you who suffer from chronic pain fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Myofacial disorders, ME and MS.  We can prescribe a rehab programme for those of you recovering from injury of broken bones.

Stress-related disorders make up between 80-and-90 percent of the ailments that bring people to family-practice physicians.

We believe massage therapy is absolutely paramount in the healing process because of the relief it brings to any client of any age, young or old. Tracey understands her clients needs and offers a listening ear and a relaxing massage to ease away those aches and pains and help you to unwind from the stresses of modern day life.
